In the American College of Cardiology's 67th Annual Scientific Session, listening to music while performing a standard cardiac stress test may have helped extend the time people were able to perform the test.

127 subjects were selected and randomly assigned to listen to up-beat Latin music or no music.  The group listening to music lasted 50.6 seconds longer than the non music listening group.

So put in your headphones crank up your playlist and workout!
