Bob Della Salla is a lifelong athlete and avid golfer who came to Body Elite to help his golf game, feel better and to get back in shape.  He’s made a lot of progress in just four month.

I’ve known Steve and Jason for years.  Last fall, I ran into Jason at the Emmaus/Central game and we got to talking about Body Elite.  I had been thinking a lot lately about doing something serious about getting back in shape and from what I knew about Body Elite, it seemed like it would be a good fit for me.  Soon after that, I got a phone call from Alyssa to schedule my consultation with Steve.  I’m really glad I got that call.

Growing up, I was always an athlete.  I played football and baseball throughout high school and in college and I was always in great shape.  But for the last ten years, the lack of exercise just made me feel ‘not good’.  I had gained a little weight, lost a little strength and just wasn’t myself.  I was having sleep problems.  My body was just telling me that something wasn’t right.  So I came to Body Elite, and I couldn’t be happier that I did.

The thing that attracted me to the place was that when I met with Steve, I felt that he had a really good understanding of my expectations and of my goals.  When I started working out there, I loved it right away because of all of the varied routines and styles that come with working with a whole team of trainers.  One of the things that took me by surprise was the amount of new things I learned about exercise.  I figured that at 47, and being a lifelong athlete, I thought I pretty much knew all there was to know about exercising.  But I’ve been learning a lot of new things and I appreciate the depth of knowledge that the BE trainers have.

The results have been even better than I expected. 

I’m an avid golfer and one of my goals was to gain strength and flexibility to help my golf game.  I went into the winter with an 11 handicap.  Since April, when I started handing in scores for this year, I’m down to a 9 and expect to keep dropping.  That’s a huge improvement.  I’m hitting the ball farther than ever, and I am certain that is a result of my increased speed and flexibility.  I’m also far less fatigued at the end of a round, so I am finishing stronger than I did before.  Overall my game has improved a lot. 

Every year, I play in the Brookside club championship.  This year, I expect to compete in it.

Aside from that, I’ve lost about a pound a month since starting here, and about 1 ½ inches from my waist.  I feel a lot better and am sleeping better now, too.  In all, I am really happy with the decision I made to join Body Elite and I recommend them highly.
