Improve your Golf Swing Using Thoracic Rotation

Thoracic rotation is important in all sports. Baseball and golf are two of the sports that involve rotational power. Rotation is actually a combination of the hips, core muscles, and thoracic spine. Good rotational strength will result in further drives, faster pitches, and better control.

A strong rotation begins with the hips rotating. The power is transferred through the core muscles and the thoracic spine into the shoulders. This entire motion is quick and takes place in less than a quarter of a second. One of the final transfer points is the thoracic spine. Weakness and inflexibility will result in a loss of power.

By following some the exercises in the article, rotational strength can be improved. Keeping the core strong and thoracic spine flexible are the keys to better athletic performance.
